Typical use case

A portal tractor for weed control and row fertilization was developed using an electric drive system instead of a combustion engine. Due to the limited space between plant rows, a hub motor proved to be the ideal solution. This configuration allows for a simplified design, consisting of the wheel and fork directly connected to the tractor frame.
Integrating the hub motor into the frame required only minor adjustments to accommodate the axle size and motor width. Thanks to its plug-and-play design, the hub motor could be quickly implemented in the portal tractor. Since then, many portal tractors have been successfully deployed using the Quinder 16-inch 60V hub motor.
