E-PowerBarrow 2.0 – Production Update & Sales Information

The launch of the new E-PowerBarrow 2.0 is getting closer, and we are excited to share more details about the production process, sales structure, and the technology behind our next-generation electric wheelbarrow.

Designed and Manufactured in the Netherlands

The E-PowerBarrow 2.0 will be manufactured and assembled in the Netherlands by our own company. By combining high-quality European manufacturing with carefully selected international components, we can guarantee reliability, performance, and consistent quality.

Key components sourced from China include:

  • HUB motor - Quinder 48V 550Watt Hub motor with planetary gear
  • Motor controller
  • EGO battery slider for all EGO batteries

Components produced in the Netherlands include:

  • Wheelbarrow frame and bin, Altrad Fort, Tiel NL and De Greef, Ochten NL
  • Battery housing 
  • Throttle housing
  • Throttle buttons, APEM

Assembly will take place in the Netherlands before each E-PowerBarrow is shipped directly to customers worldwide.

Production Numbers & Delivery Planning

To make the ordering process transparent and efficient, every customer who places a preorder and pays a €25 prepayment (excluding VAT) will receive an official production number.

We will publish an online production list where customers can track the progress of production and estimate when their E-PowerBarrow 2.0 will be manufactured and delivered.

This approach allows us to maintain clear communication and ensure a smooth production process for every order.

Personalize Your E-PowerBarrow 2.0

Customers will be able to customize their electric wheelbarrow with several practical and professional options:

  • Choice of control button type
  • Supporting wheels
  • Mechanical disc brake with integrated parking brake function
  • Custom logo or signature integrated into the battery housing for personalization or theft prevention

These options allow every customer to configure an E-PowerBarrow that perfectly matches their working environment and personal preferences.

Battery System – Powered by EGO

The new E-PowerBarrow 2.0 will be sold without battery and charger. Instead, the machine is designed to work with the globally available EGO 56V battery platform.

Because EGO batteries are available worldwide, customers can easily purchase batteries locally through the expanding EGO dealer network.

After careful consideration, we decided to stop producing our own battery systems. Using the EGO battery platform offers significant advantages for both sustainability and usability.
